Anti-wrinkle injections with botulinum toxin type A, or “botox”, are a simple and effective way to address lines and wrinkles such as frown lines (between the eyebrows), crow’s feet (at the sides of the eyes) and worry lines (forehead).
After a thorough consultation with a clinician, injections are administered into the muscles of the area you wish to be treated. This causes the muscles to relax, and lines in that part of the face will become less visible or disappear altogether. The treatment takes a few days to start working and clients will see the lines begin to get fainter after around 5 days. As the muscles continue relaxing, the full effect of the treatment can take up to fourteen days, and results usually last for 3-4 months.
When administered correctly by an experienced professional, the effects of “botox” injections are subtle. Many clients report being asked by friends and colleagues if they’ve been on holidays after they’ve had the procedure. Facial movement and facial expressions won’t be noticeably affected and the improvement of a prominent frown line or crow’s feet can have a huge positive impact on your appearance and on your confidence.
Anti-wrinkle injections are painless and you’ll be able to resume your normal activities directly after treatment. You may see some small red dots on the treated area, but these usually subside within an hour or so. We advise that you avoid rubbing or applying make up to the area for a few hours after your treatment.
